Holiday season is just around the corner and if you are looking for some traditional twist for this year’s holiday table, I’ve got you covered. Here are some special Thanksgivin and Christmas.

Thanksgiving Specials

Thanksgiving is time for gratefulness, for gatherhings with our family and friends and for having a good time together. I am greatful to be living here in US for almost two years and for meeting some amazing people here, but wherever I am part of me will always be in Slovenia, with our traditions, my family and frineds. And I am grateful that I have this opportunity to know both places and to live the best of each of them. One way for me to stay connected is to bring to our table the treats that are usually on our tables during the Holiday season. For me this is the way of staying in touch with my root,s but also a way to teach my children about traditions and most of the time coming up with new, family traditions we will vherish in years to come. This year’s Thanksgiving offer is perfect for family gatherings and will bring to your table a warm twist on traditions you already have.

Walnut potica – is the most traditional Sloveian dessert. It is a sweet yeasted dough, filled with walnut filling, rolled together, raised and baked till perfection. I bake potica in loaves, so you can get 1 or 2 of these for your holiday table. One loaf can probably give you about 25 servings, depending on how thick pieces you cut.
1 loaf: $35
2 loaves: $60

Fall Cookie Basket – this special cookie basket, is brimming with five varieties of traditional Slovenian cookies – each crafter with love and inspired by family recipes. From warm spices to nutty flavors, there cookies bring comforting taste to autumn and a touch of world charm. It’s a perfect addition to your holiday table, as a gift to your guests or just as a treat for yourself. These cookies come in three varieties:
In a Bread basket:$50 (these are as seen on th epicture above, but right now I ONLY have 2 baskets available, and I will bring them to a Sip&Shop event. These are only available until sold.)

Cinnamon Star Bread – is guaranteed to be a star of your holiday table. Warm spices, wrapped in sweet, soft dough make sure this bread will be gone before you know it.

Christmas Specials

Christmas in my family meant family time. There was no big hype about it. Just a Christmas tree, my small family and a lot of good food and treats. It doesn’t matter if there is snow or not, if there are a bunch of presents under the tree, or just a small one for each of us. What matters is we are in the warm home, passing time together, sharing stories and enjoying our food. So until this day, wherever in the world I am, the only this that matters is I can recreate the taste of Christmas, for this means the Christmas is truly here. Here are a few things that will instantly add some traditional warmth to your Christmas table.

I will bring a Sample box to the Holiday Sip&Shop event on November 15th form 5pm to 8pm at Merriam Community center. The sample box will include all of the above baked treats so you can try them all and decide what is best for you and your Christmas celebration. But I also prepared some of the bundles in advance and by ordering those you get some discount on the final price.
